Untitled (descend),  2015 collage of digital C-type prints        It was only when we reached the seemingly vertical glaciers, with slopes on each side so deep that I no longer dared to speak, I, to my great disappointment realised that the mountains were not painted.     After we departed the aerial ropeway for the second time and sat down in the thicker air, I looked up again and the mountains transformed.     It reminded me of a dream I once had. I stood at the very edge of a thin layer of ice floating around in the sea. Right in front of me, a whale of unspeakable dimensions started rising upwards from the sea in a vertical line. It didn’t stop and revealed a figure so large that it was only distinguishable from another point, where I also was. As it reached its outermost limits, with only the tail fixed underneath the water, it started, in a slow motion and with its entire body, to fall forwards toward the little snowflake where I stood still.
